The College Scholarship Service Profile (CSS Profile) is an online application used by some colleges and universities to award NON-FEDERAL financial aid, such as grants, scholarships and institutional loans. It is the financial aid application used by the College Board.
The CSS Profile provides access to institution financial aid at about 400 colleges. For the 2017-18 list of schools using the CSS Profile, click here.

October 1st
The CSS Profile is available for submission.
The CSS Profile must be submitted or updated annually.
There is a $25 fee to submit the CSS Profile.
The application may take 45 minutes to 2-hours to complete, and must be completed in one sitting.
Schools have limited funding, so the sooner you submit the CSS Profile, the better.
Some schools may require completion of the Noncustodial Profile, in addition to the CSS Profile.
