Attending Dominican University, Direct Admit Nursing Program
Talea wants to change the world through her love of helping people as a nurse. She will earn her BSN in four years at Dominican University's direct admit nursing program. Dominican was her dream school! She is the first in her family to attend college.

BLAKE
Attending CSU Chico
Blake wanted to major in Construction Management, but didn't think he was going to be able to attend a 4-year college. He was admitted to Chico State University six days after submitting his application where Construction Management was a new major!

"My experience at Chico has been great! Now on my third year and still on track (to graduate) in four. I have had internships both summers at different construction companies and I think Chico's program is amazing. Thank you for guiding me and basically getting me into the position I am today!"
KUSHAL
Attending University of Redlands
3-2 Engineering Program
Kushal and his family immigrated from Nepal. Upon arriving in the United States as an eighth grader, he had the daunting task of learning how to speak, write and read English before he could focus on furthering his academics. His amazing perseverance prepared him for a bright future!
He is the first in his family to pursue a college degree and is working towards earning his Bachelor's degree from the University of Redlands then continuing at either Columbia University or Washington University at St. Louis to complete a degree in Engineering.

JULIA
Attending Maryville University
Direct Entry Physical Therapy Program
Offered generous merit aid and an athletic scholarship, Julia is the first in her family to attend college. Originally majoring in Forensic Science, Julia recently switched majors and was admitted to the school's Direct Entry Physical Therapy program as a freshman. She is also playing on Maryville's first DII women's lacrosse team.

CRUZ
Attending University of Nevada, Reno
I had the privilege of working with Cruz for almost a year. Our frequent in-person meetings provided the opportunity to get to know him as a student, but more importantly, as a person. Cruz will be the first in his family to attend
college and he exhibits the readiness, maturity, perspective, and self-confidence to contribute
and succeed at the college level. After receiving several offers from colleges, Cruz decided to accept the offer from University of Nevada, Reno and is majoring in Finance.

CHRISTINA
Attending Scripps College
Christina is the first in her family to attend college! After completing her undergraduate degree at Scripps College (part of the Claremont Consortium of schools), Christina plans to attend medical school. She received scholarships and grants covering 90% of her college expenses.

LUKE
Attending University of San Diego
Reflecting on the college essay process, Luke said he didn't think he could write ten words about his life. After the essay process ended, Luke admitted he learned so much about who he has become because of his life experiences. He said he could now write 10,000 words.
Luke is the first of his family to attend college in the United States. His parents immigrated from Europe. He is fluent in German and English and will be studying International Business.

ANGELA
Attending Gonzaga University, Direct Admit Nursing Program
Through the college application process, Angela discovered the affection she had for a doll when she was young would have real life applications in the world as a nurse. She was admitted to several Direct Admit Nursing programs, deciding to become a Gonzaga Bulldog! Angela is the first in her family to attend college.

LEILA
Attending University of Southern California, Engineering
Leila explored from coast to coast evaluating engineering programs to fit her learning style, career goals, and identifying schools providing a spirited campus vibe. Admitted to several college engineering programs, Leila accepted the offer from USC!

Attending University of Rochester, Health & Epidemiology Advanced Learning Program
This bright, energetic, and driven student was a delight to work with. Pratikshya immigrated to the United States as a middle schooler and overcame language and cultural challenges to excel academically. She has her sights set on attending medical school and is off to a good start. She was accepted to several UC's, as well as the HEALS Program at University of Rochester where she accepted the offer. She is the first in her family to attend college.
